A dual narrative told from the perspectives of Morgan Grant, a thirty-three-year-old married mother of one, and Clara Grant, her sixteen-year-old daughter. Morgan doesn't want her daughter to make the same mistakes she did, so she's slightly overprotective of Clara. Clara isn't allowed to date or do much of anything, but sometimes gets away with it thanks to her Aunt Jenny. While Morgan appreciates their closeness, she also worries that her sister might be giving Clara bad advice. This is a novel about family, first love, grief, and betrayal from two completely different perspectives.
