Where is it?

George is a good ol' hound dog. He helps Farmer Fritz with the chores and--most important of all--he keeps those sneaky cows out of the cornfield.

Then Farmer Fritz moves away, and a new family from the city moves in. The Gladstones have a lot to learn. George tries to help, but they don't understand his job on the farm...until the day little Olive goes missing, and George shows everyone what it means to be a hero hound!

Booklist Review
One chapter ends and an exhausting new one begins for farm dog George when old Farmer Fritz retires to a no-pets beachside cabana. Back on the farm, it takes constant vigilance for George to keep the enterprising cows out of the cornfield, and the new family that moves in, the Gladstones, are plainly in need of a whole heap of help adjusting to rural life. The crises begin as soon as Mr. Gladstone (with some unobtrusive assistance from George) fixes an old tractor that then proceeds to roar off in a wild and destructive rampage. Worse yet, little Olive Gladstone is suddenly nowhere to be found. Cast in the cartoon illustrations as a low-slung hound with floppy ears and an outsize nose, George cuts an endearing figure as he steadily goes about tracking down the errant tyke, showing Mr. Gladstone how to milk a mischievous cow, and other tasks even helping deliver fresh produce to the beach, where he visits an old friend. Any farm, or household for that matter, could use a dog like George.--Peters, John Copyright 2018 Booklist
