A seven-time Stanley Cup champion, Bryan Trottier won every award imaginable. Trottier grew up in Val Marie, Saskatchewan, the son of a Cree father and an Irish-Canadian mother. Although a gifted athlete from a young age, Trottier was not immune to the sting of racism, but his mother always made sure that he was proud of his Indigenous heritage. Trottier shares stories about family, friends, teammates, and coaches, the lessons that he has learned from them, and the profound impact they have had in shaping the person he has become.
